The Romanian Hillclimb Championship continued with the Trofeul Campulung Muscel. Three of the top four drivers in the points standings retired. Lyuben Kamenov already disappeared with engine problems in practise. Bogdan Cuzma and Lucian Radut did a single timed race session but both had to retire with technical problems.
This left only Paul Andronic of the championship challengers. He was challenged hard by Andrei Dumitrescu all weekend long. Dumitrescu set fastest time in the first race but Andronic managed to turn it around in the second race to score a very important victory. Cornel Gardean was the third driver on the podium. Andronic now leads the championship with a 28.5 point lead over Radut. His actual points lead is smaller because Andronic is the only driver who has not yet used his dropscore.
With one more race to go a number of championships are already decided. With a class victory at Gabriel Ene is the new 2-wheel-drive champion. Catalin Cedric Ghigea won the Historics at Campulung and is also the new champion. Costi Stratnic in the spectacular Dacia Logan STCC won the GT championship. Finally Marian Andrei secured himself the Rookie Championship.
