There were two hillclimbs on the Canary Islands this weekend. On Gran Canaria the 7,1 kilometre long Subida a La Pasadilla was scheduled. The event was stopped a little earlier than expected after Juan Betancor had a heavy accident. This prevented the two final drivers Miguel Angel Cabral and Aday Naranjo from completing their second and final run. It did not matter for Cabral as he was already certain for victory based on his super time in the first run. Naranjo was by that time also certain of the sportscar victory but that had more to do with the fact that he was the only entrant!
