Results Subida Valle Gran Rey 2017

The Canary Islands Hillclimb Championship moved to La Gomera this weekend. The competitors faced the Subida Valle Gran Rey, a brand new 4,8 kilometres long hillclimb. Luis Monzon brought the Audi R8 Le Mans for this high-speed track. It was a wise choice as Monzon took a decisive victory. He was not only quicker than the three Porsche drivers, but also faster than the three sportscar drivers. Runner-up became Enrique Cruz in the Autogas Porsche. Armide Martin beat his teammate Yeray Lemes to finish fourth. Local man José Manuel Gonzalez was the winner of the sportscars and fourth overall.
