Results Subida a La Plata 2017

Andrés Vilariño was one of the few drivers who had competed at the Subida a La Plata before yesterday. His previous knowledge of the track probably helped very little in his quest for victory. In difficult weather conditions Vilariño was only third in practise. However the Norma M20 FC pilot quickly recovered with three fastest times in as many raceheats. José Albino Garcia was the only other sportscar driver who was confident enough in the rain. The Silver Car S2 driver’s second place does him well in the Asturias Hillclimb Championship. José Antonio Lopez-Fombona had a great run in his Lamborghini Huracan to finish third overall. Best drivers in the rain were Fernando Castaedo (Renault Clio) and Angel Manuel Alvarez (Citroën Saxo VTS). With their little cars they finished 1-2 in practise. They obviously could not hold those positions but they still finished fifth and sixth overall.
