Results Bergrennen Altlengbach 2017

The Bergrennen Altlengbach is a brand new hillclimb in Austria. This fast, 2,5 kilometre long track is located just 40 kilometres from Vienna. The first edition last Sunday did not yet count for any championship. That might be the reason why only a handful of drivers travelled north.

Karl Schagerl was unbeatable in his Volkswagen Golf. Despite a technical problem in practise Schagerl was by far the quickest driver of the day. Peter Ramler is often present at hillclimbs but normally just for demonstration runs. At Altlengbach he drove his Audi S1R Quattro for the first time in an hillclimb competition. The Rallycross driver was immediately quick and even finished second overall. Peter Probhardt in the Group N Mitsubishi Lancer outperformed quite a few E1 touringcars to finish third overall.
