This Saturday the Subida a Juncalillo will open the hillclimb season of the Canary Islands. For the first time since its reboot in 2013 the race will count towards the Las Palmas Championship. The history of the sport remains important at Juncalillo with a relatively large number of entrants in regularity and demo.
Headliners in Juncalillo are the Auto Laca Team. Three spectacular car-driver combinations are entered under their banner. Two-time winner Yeray Lemes and Armide Martin will each field a Porsche 997 GT3 Rallye, while two-time Spanish Rally Champion Luis Monzon will bring his Mini Cooper WRC to Juncalillo.
Racing starts at 10:30 Saturday morning with practise and is immediately followed by the first and second races.
