Just three hillclimbs are on the 2018 calendar of the Bretagne Pays de Loire region. This year there were five events but Val d’Oust and La Harmoye do not appear on the schedule anymore.

With 16 events Normandie is the center of regional hillclimb racing in France. There are no surprises on the schedule as all 16 events that were contested this year return in 2018.

The Provence Alpes Cote d’Azur region is one of the bigger regions in France. 10 Hillclimbs are scheduled in 2018 and all 10 of them were already on the schedule this year.

Occitane Mediterranee is the new name for the Languedoc Roussilon region. It has become a tradition that the Course de Côte des Pont des Abarines is the first hillclimb of the year in all of France. The French Historic Hillclimb Championship will have 13 races in 2018. They follow the modern racers on 11 races but skip Hébécrevon and La Pommeraye. Instead the VHC competitors will join the Second Division in Quillan on 19 & 20 May. There is also one historic-only meeting in St. Hippolyte on 7 & 8 July.

The French Hillclimb Championship Division 2 returns in 2018 with the same 4 races that were scheduled this year. Gemenos now opens the season on 12 & 13 May. After travelling to Quillan and Andorra, the championship already finishes 23 & 24 June in La Broque.
