Results Bergrallye Hofstätten an der Raab 2017

The Bergrallye Cup returned from its summer break for the Bergrallye Hofstätten an der Raab near Gleisdorf. The weather was ostly perfect although a small rainshower at the end of the first race gave some problems. However everyone managed to do two dry runs in race 2 and 3.

Rupert Schwaiger was again unstoppable in Hofstätten. The Porsche 911 Bi-Turbo pilot set a new trackrecord and was the only driver to go under 57 seconds. Thomas Holzmann won the spectacular 4-wheel-drive class and finished second overall. His three closest rivals Felix Pailer, Werner Karl and Stefan Wiedenhofer all had small technical problems that might have prevented a better result for them. Still it was a great class victory for Holzmann on his first outing at this Bergrallye. Manuel Seidl gave his best performance of the year this weekend to finish third overall. Not surprising as the Porsche 997 GT3 pilot is actually from Gleisdorf. The E1-2000 class was the most competitive with 15 entrants. Michael Wels scored a brilliant class victory here to finish seventh overall.
